Keeping in touch while you're away

We can do so much more these days in terms of communications but it does make life just a little more complex. Our grandparents and great grandparents simply set off and wrote a letter when they arrived at their destination. The Poste Restante system meant that family and friends could write to them care of a main post office almost anywhere in the world. But it took time.

Today there is a bewildering array of possible ways of keeping in touch with family and friends (and - unfortunately - with the business as well).
