But those precious weeks can easily be spoiled or made more difficult if we don't do a little planning and preparation. Some things - like insurance, especially medical insurance, are essential, others, such as making sure that you have the right camera equipment or the most suitable wardrobe, can make the difference between a fairly hassle-laden break into one that you'll enjoy and treasure for the rest of your life.

They don't cover everything but they should help you to think of other things as well.
