Qaqortoq, also known as Julienehab in Norse, is South Greenland’s most populated town with just over 3,000 citizens.
The town of Qaqortoq was founded in 1775 by Norwegian trader Anders Olsen. Olsen founded his town here after the Moravians had successfully started a missionary and trade station there.
